New Book Announcement Vedantic Hinduism in Colonial Bengal: Reformed Hinduism and Western Protestantism, By Dr. Victor van Bijlert This book proposes a Hindu modernity thesis which asserts that Vedantic scriptural Hinduism provided the ideological content to the modern individual Hindu Self, and that organised world renunciation facilitated the emergence of the modern collective Hindu Self.

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

15,7,87
101,77
post-627","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-announcements","category-spirituality","category-spirituality-issue-4-2-oct-20-en","tag-announcements","tag-new-book-announcement
"1536x1536":false,"2048x2048":false
["GET
